Making friends as a grown-up doesn't need to be so hard and scary!

Looking for your creative soulmate, future partner-in-memes or just someone to maybe get a drink with sometime? We got you! This workshop is about networking, breaking through our own social awkwardness, and making new friends as grown-ups. Like, we’re actually going to make some new friends. By speed dating each other. But it’s not as scary as it sounds!

Considering this session is pretty much about making friends and being awesome, we’re going to have a rapid-fire new pals meeting session. Join Sally and Sav from Ladies of Leisure as they chat about their own friend love story, and meet other like-minded people who might just be your new buds. Chit chat the night away a fun, weird, totally chill, normal and non-judgmental environment that will be fuelled with internet jokes, podcast recommendations, and mutual Insta follows.

What you can expect:

Sav and Sal talk creative partnerships
A speed dating session where you'll meet a bunch of cool, like-minded people
Make some new awesome pals (maybe! No pressure!)
Have fun while doing it (maybe?! NO PRESSURE!)
more!

LEADER BIOS: Savannah Anand-Sobti and Sally Tabart

Savannah Anand-Sobti and Sally Tabart have been working together on Ladies of Leisure since 2014. After meeting through a mutual friend (hi Tara), together they embarked upon a creative partnership that has resulted in three publications and workshop series, one website, some cool merch and about one hundred million text messages.

At LOL Sav is the boss of visuals and Sally is the boss of words, but they talk about everything constantly on every available platform. When they’re not working on LOL (which, let’s face it, is pretty much all the time), Sav works in freelance marketing and social media, and Sally is the news editor at The Design Files

The LOL Space is upstairs at 451 Brunswick Street and unfortunately is not wheelchair accessible. We will have plenty of seating available, but please get in touch if you have any specific accessibility needs and we will do our very best to make it happen! We are located on the corner of Brunswick Street/Alexandra Parade. Enter via Alexandra Parade.
