A deep-dive into your favourite creative businesses!
Have you ever watched a new creative project pop up and flourish and wondered – how the hell did they make that happen?! There’s no one more fitting to answer this question than Beth Wilkinson, the founder, and editor of a relatively new online space and print publication called Lindsay, which has achieved more in just 12 months than most hope to in a decade.
Beth launched Lindsay online in March of 2017 and published her first print issue in 2018. A magazine about place, culture and people, the third edition of Lindsay has just been released, featuring a portrait of Lebanese director Nadine Labaki (of Capernaum fame) on its cover, shot by Beth. Alongside the host of incredible local and international photographers, writers, artists and interview subjects featured in Lindsay, Beth edits, designs and takes a lot of the photos herself. Yes, you read that correctly! In this inaugural session of This Is How We Do It, the woman behind this new award-winning publication will let us in on how she makes it happen!
What you can expect:
Hear from Beth about her life, trajectory and how she came to Lindsay
Learn how she has grown Lindsay internationally, selling it in over 20 countries in stores such as Gucci Garden and MoMA PS1.
Understand the inner workings of putting together a print publication
Gain insight into the high highs and low lows, and the important stuff Beth has learned along the way
Go home with your very own copy of Lindsay Issue No. 3!
